David Brown Memorial

Eastern View Cyclone Wrestling 2012/2013 Eastern View defended its trophy this past weekend at the 2nd Annual David Brown Memorial. Even though the format of the tournament had to change to a team duals the outcome remained the same. The Cyclones defeated longtime rival Orange in the Finals 50-25. Eastern View is now 26-2 with 4 tournament victories on the season. The tournament was named for David Brown. David wrestled for the Culpeper Blue Devils under the late Shirley Gray. He was State Runner-up his senior year. David Brown was known as a go getter and that anything worth having was worth working for. His work ethics were instilled by his wonderful, loving parents Wayne and Joyce Brown who continue to give to the wrestling program and the youth of Culpeper. Wayne and Joyce are even working on setting up a Scholarship Trust Program in David’s name through the program with the help of Todd Brown’s Financial Firm. David Brown is truly missed by many, but will never be forgotten with the help of the David Brown Memorial and his close friends.
